In between March Madness🏀 and Easter🐰, the Windsor Crest Community invites you to tour a few neighborhood homes with this Irish-themed Progressive Dinner ☘️
What's a Progressive Dinner?
Great question! Essentially, everyone meets together for appetizers at a designated home. From there, we split folks into a few groups where and each group has (the same) dinner at another home. Lastly, everyone comes together for dessert at the ending home.
In case that sounds confusing, here's my best effort at drawing this out 😅
This year, we're going to have "Bangers and Mash" as the dinner item! This Irish dish is made up of mashed potatoes, sausage, peas, and an amazing gravy 🤤
☘️ Fun Fact: The nickname "bangers" dates back to World War I, when food shortages meant fillers (usually water) were put into meat. The high water content and tight casings would cause the sausages to explode (bang) during cooking!
How to get involved
There are 3 ways to be a part of this event:
🏡 Host: A host will offer up their home as a place for folks to gather. Depending on the amount of people that signup, not all hosts will be needed. We'd need you from 5pm-10pm that day.
👩🍳 Food Prep: Believe it or not, but baking goods and making dinner takes a lot of time...crazy! You can help out by offering up your culinary skills. We'd need you from 3:30-5pm that day.
🍽️ Attending: It wouldn't be an event without hungry folks like yourself! The best and easiest way to get involved is to simply sign up and show up! We'd need you from 5:30pm-10pm that day. The starting house will be announced closer to the event!
